HSBC HQ, Bangkok: 11,000 m² in a building designed for raised floors
ANBS's first big win, and the one Tok still talks about, was HSBC's Bangkok headquarters: 11,000 square metres in a building designed from the slab up for raised floors.
The award came in 1999, a year after ANBS became a dealer for the IMEX lightweight cement-filled steel floor. Tok remembers an 11-storey building on Rama 4 that was considered an intelligent building at the time. It had been designed for raised floors from the start, so at each lift landing the concrete slab dropped 15 cm to take the floor, and the finished level ran flush. The panels, the equivalent of today's ROC100, came from IMEX in Malaysia and went in over roughly four to six months.

It was the start of a run that brought the Rhino trademark in 2001, a calcium sulphate plant in Saraburi in 2002, and later the factory in China that Tok runs today with Jackie Dai.
